Subscribed! I was watching your video on my computer but I wasn't signed in but wanted to ask you a few questions. 1. I recently got a scooter on Amazon and been practicing some of your tips on some of your other videos for balancing and riding for beginners. I was originally interested in a longer skateboard or a long board to eventually turn into and electric one but wanted to get the basics of riding before I got it converted. I would be using it to get around town and possibly off road? I'm less likely to only use it at a skatepark for tricks.. 2. I saw tail and ( head? ) guards for boards to protect them and curious if you think it would be worth it to put on for protection for when you need to jump on and off curbs. 3. I would like the option to get electric for the board In thinking of getting in the future and curious what you would recommend. (Saw the video on the vibe ride break board looks very cool) Back on subject.😂 I like the larger wheels because my area has a lot of cracked roads and sidewalks. I've seen the 72 for tires put on a skateboard but really what do you think would be better for someone transitioning from a scooter which has 8 inches wide and 16 inch long foot area. I am 5' 3". 👍🏼 I like your videos and look forward to your reply.

As a super duper noob in longboarding world I bought retrospects drop through and drop down boards and after spending some time on both I really felt most comfortable on drop down and also got better confidence in riding drop downs over drop through (not big difference but still good enough). Esp when you’re starting out for very first time any thing helps

I also would drive in your style manner. And I just loooove that Turbo King of yours. I would gear it up just the same. It looks like 'The Last V-8 Interceptor' that Mad Max drives, especially since it's black. The problem is, that I have 45/46 European feet. (And poor cash flow)

Love this board. I'm an old guy - 52 - and don't have an interest in downhill (translation: old guy in hospital) at this point. Was my clutch board for a few hours at Miami Ultraskate in February. Rode a SUPSkate Endurance 45 for about half the distance, then the Fathom with Dad Bods. Used a SUPSkate Race Pole the entire time for that "land paddling" experience. After ~50 miles, I needed to switch up to something with more vibration absorption. The Endurance setup feels amazing, but the additional urethane in the Dad Bods' diameter, plus the diameter itself, let me do another 30 miles. I was on a 4-man relay. 80 miles is no big deal for most of the athletes, but I didn't have the track for the full 24, to put it in context. My only improvement would be to go with a longer deck, which Loaded just came out with, the Tangent. The Endurance and the Tangent will be playing tug-of-war with me every day. Which ride to choose? Great review here. I appreciate the different perspective. So far, on flat ground/false flat, I've topped out at 20mph. 30 would be a trick for me. Nicely done!

Just to clarify, this is the first time watching you at all. First impresson im not impressed by how u act, like a besserwisser. U have tunnelvision, u have to look in other ppls perspective. Some ppl like this board- period. I bought a used penny board at a secondhand shop, today, it cost me 25.00 SEK. I'm a noob and have been looking for something that's portable and smooth to take me from point A to B. Show me a similar board in the same pricerange and I might change my mind about u.

Thanks for the video, I was intrigued by this board, I built a similar setup using MBS 100mm wheels and a kegger beercan board deck. the MBS wheels are great as they have much better traction, I tend to ride at higher speeds so slipping out is a major concern. The all aluminum deck also cuts down on the overall weight but makes for a rougher ride. I added a rubber spacer to eat up some of the vibration / lower the ride height and added a washer to the trucks to get a extra mm to avoid wheel bite. I've tried the 110mm cloud wheels also which are good but a bit pricier, after about 100 miles of riding I'm still on the fence if they are any better.

I don’t agree with this video. I have a 22 Inch and it’s great. I am 48 and started skating 8 months ago. I home around on this and travel all over the UK with it. Great for pumping and it you lift your self up a bit it’s great for cracks. Supper small turning circle if low speed. Have put grip tape on it easily (only good point in the post) so redundant point (sorry as do rate the chap in the video) and well it’s just a great travel solution. So if it works for an old fit 😂 like me it can’t be bad.

My older cousin got me a penny board for free and I have been doing it every day

They do suck. In the best way possible. Like driving a go kart as your daily. Unbelievably fun but a regular car would be worlds better in most ways.

Even with aircraft nuts you always want to end an adjustment in the tightening motion. This will help prevent it from working its way loose

As someone who spent most of his teens on a skateboard, I absolutely can't with the lack of a tail. Having always relied heavily on kickturns, the lack of a tail feels like a huge handicap. Against all advice, I ordered a thinner maple large cruiser from a reputable company. Fingers crossed that the experience is good. (Compared to cruising on a traditional skateboard, it can only feel good I suppose.)

The weight issue is something I found even with the Pantheon Trip, probably more to do with the truck weight however I found I was faster on my Pennyboard.

Where can we LDP in the Twin Cities? lol! Bunker hill? The trails are so poorly kept. Any suggestion? Looking for a 10mile flat trail with good pavement.

I'm sorry, but this is really bad advice. Bearings are not meant to freespin, they are made to work under load. Your wheels should be tightened until there is no slop left, the spacers and speed rings are there to allow this without stopping the bearing. Slop in your wheels will lead to instability and premature wear of your bearings. If you notice your wheels are resistant to spinning, your bearings need cleaning/lube, or replacing.

Penny boards are meant for cruising not for tricks

Top mount cruiser or pintail is the question for me… I’m hearing pintails are pointless because once you fall in love with the sport, u end up buying a platypus. I’m 6’3” and 220lbs at 40 years old and just starting out… never skated, surfed, or snowboarded. I want a board for cruising and commuting 1-25 miles on any given day… so many options 😩
